Below is a list of required materials. Feel free to add what seems relevant to your own practice..

Dry media

2H, 2B, 4B (minimum) pencils

Mechanical pencils  w/coloured leads

Charcoal and/or conté (black and brown)

Wet Media

Fine tip drawing pens (.2, .5), black and sepia. (Micron, Staedler etc.)

Brush pens: Black, mid grey, sepia

Ink: Black, Sepia

 Surfaces (Note that much of our work will be done in the sketchbook)

Sketchbook, Moleskin (Art or professional) or Moleskin knock-off, aprox. 9”x12”

Paper: Selection of Mayfair, Stonehenge or other reasonable, sturdy drawing paper. Minimum 6 sheets.

 Masking tape, Scotch tape

Ruler: 12” minimum

Erasers: White, gum, kneaded

Brushes: Angular, bright and round (for ink: Chinese and/or synthetic)

Scissors, utility knife, pencil sharpener

Portfolio (cardboard or foamcore)
